When the water is boiling

-

Is this a work morale crisis?

-

This is the time when the pressure goes skin-deep. A time when people who have been transferred to another branch starts backstabbing their fellow colleagues at Comcentre. It’s when your bosses evolves into a creature called ‘The Punisher’. Basic welfare like going home early, staying healthy, and even going on leave are all forsaken.

-

Imagine hearing ‘If you do not meet these unimaginable targets, you better ask yourself why you’re here!’ from your bosses. This workplace will be for super heroes in the near future.

-

Gone are the days when service was golden.

-

People have asked, ‘Why don’t you move out?’. What keeps me here is my brother who inspires me, and the goodtime memories I had with my friends. In other words, I have inspirations.

-

This is the longest time ever I stayed with a company. At least, I’m proud of it.

-

Where have all the good bosses gone? The ones who tap me at the back when I do very good, and the ones who cheer me up when I’m pressured.

-

Is the management satisfied enough to see people leaving?

-

I have a chum, a fellow Filipino workmate. She used to be the ‘best’ in everything she does. But the bosses didn’t even see her effort, her morale for work. At least she found a greener pasture when she left. Blessed are the people who have good heart!

-

Now I’m the last Jedi. I’ll be the lone soul struggling to cope up with everyday pressure.

-

Time will come, but I never wanted it to be so soon.

-

If ever, I wouldn’t be considering IT jobs as I have had enough boredom when I was younger, spending 8 to 9 hours of doing nothing but programming. I’m not so updated about IT anymore anyway. What remains is the common sense I developed when I’m troubleshooting. So I’m not really that good nowadays with computers.

-

Things don’t stop from here of course, I have already thought of what to do next.

-

Will this be the end? Or maybe I should ask myself, should this be the end?
